The hitchhiker (or hitchhiker, if you wish) Bloodhound-focused event announces her arrival with a 10-minute lore movie. The event will run from 7 to 21 April, permanently returning the old-new map of King’s Canyon into circulation along with Duos mode and adding lots of new skins to acquire or purchase.
Bloodhound reveals its origins
The Old Ways also features Bloodhound Trials that take up some (northeast) part of the World’s Edge map, as is customary in these events. If you decide to jump here, there will be a horde of creeping beasts waiting for you, as well as a chance to get a high-tier loot. In his blog, Respawn Entertainment recommends that we investigate this area mainly “accompanied by a certain hunter” and points out that once the fight is over, we could see more pieces in the Bloodhound lore puzzle.
Like Grand Soiree and System Override, The Old Ways is a prize track. These will allow you to unlock a range of exclusive cosmetic rewards when you meet them. With the new event, there will also be plenty of rare and legendary cosmetic accessories in the Apex Legends in-game store, where it will also be possible to purchase a brand new Young Blood Skin for Bloodhound.
The Old Ways also recalls the earlier days and dust off the older “bloodhound” Legendary Hunt event you may remember from Season 1: Wild Frontier. So during the duration of The Old Ways, you get a chance to earn all the rewards that were not presented before.
Bonus
The bonus will also be the option to purchase a redesigned version of the legendary Wraith (Voices from the Past) skins from the Voidwalker event and a skin for the R-301 (Trophy Collector) weapon that was previously exclusive to Battle Pass owners.
On April 7, Duos mode will also appear and will be permanently added to Apex Legends along with the original King’s Canyon map.
