Death Stranding 2
Is Now Live on PC — Everything You Need to Know

📅 March 28, 2026✍️ PoGamer StaffOUT NOW

Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launched on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on March 19, 2026 — just nine months after its PS5 exclusivity window. Developed with support from Nixxes Software (the studio behind the excellent first DS PC port), it’s shaping up to be one of the year’s best PC releases.

Worth noting: There are reports that Sony may be winding down its PlayStation-to-PC programme for single-player games. If true, Death Stranding 2 could be one of the last major PS exclusives to come to PC for a while.

What’s New in the PC Version

Unlocked framerate — no 60fps cap like PS5
Ultrawide support — native 21:9 and 32:9
DLSS 3, FSR 3.1 & XeSS upscaling support
Advanced ray tracing — reflections and ambient occlusion
“To The Wilder” difficulty — new punishing mode, no turning back once started
Photo Mode — new for both PC launch and PS5 simultaneously
Install size: ~115GB (150GB recommended free space)

Linking a PlayStation account is optional but rewards you with an exclusive backpack design and a PlayStation-logo-inspired suit.
