Fortnite’s Galactus event had 15.3 million players

Rumors of Fortnite’s possible death appear to have been greatly exaggerated, with 15.3 million players attending the Galactus event on Thursday night. If anyone has ever wondered how many Fortnite players currently have, now there is an answer: over 15 million.

Epic Games announced on Twitter that it was Fortnite’s largest-ever event, with 15.3 million players joining forces to fight Galactus. More than 3.4 million viewers watched what happened on YouTube and Twitch.

The Galactus event ended the fourth season of Chapter Two and ushered in a new season, introducing players to a new game trailer that also features Mandalorian and Grogu (Baby Yoda). As Epic Games itself suggests in the trailer, Mandalorian and Grogu went to pay them a lot of money, but “that’s right.”
